Tee's House Officially Launches with a Vision to Grow Community Through Agriculture and Arts

Tee’s House launches to connect agriculture, arts, education, and wellness through hands-on learning for children, families, schools, and communities.

Tee's House officially launched this month as a nonprofit organization committed to connecting agriculture, arts, education, and wellness through accessible, hands-on learning experiences. While many organizations focus on a single area of service, Tee's House was established with the belief that communities flourish when creativity, nature, education, and personal wellbeing are cultivated together.

The organization's mission is rooted in creating opportunities for children, families, schools, and community members to learn through experience. Whether planting a seed, painting a flowerpot, exploring pollinators, or learning where food comes from, every activity is intended to encourage curiosity while strengthening confidence and connection.

"Our goal has never been simply to teach gardening or create artwork," said Executive Director Tierra Smith. "We want to create environments where learning feels natural, creativity is encouraged, and every participant leaves feeling capable of growing something, whether that's a plant, a skill, or confidence in themselves."

Although programming is still in its early stages, planning efforts have already begun for future educational partnerships with schools, youth-serving organizations, and community groups throughout Escambia County.

Initial organizational priorities include:

• Developing curriculum that integrates agriculture and creative arts
• Establishing community partnerships
• Recruiting volunteers with diverse skills and experiences
• Building organizational infrastructure
• Identifying funding opportunities that expand access

Community members can also expect future initiatives focused on nutrition education, environmental stewardship, gardening workshops, creative wellness, and seasonal learning experiences.

As Tee's House begins laying its foundation, the organization invites residents to follow its journey and discover how agriculture and the arts can work together to strengthen communities one seed, one lesson, and one relationship at a time.
