Drama and Poetry Club (Grades 3-5)

Through our Drama and Poetry Club, Tee’s House provides a safe, expressive space for students in grades 3-5 to explore their voices and share their stories.

Participants study the works of notable poets, create original pieces, and perform for peers and families, building confidence and communication skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Coming 2026

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we reflect on an incredible year of growth, we are also preparing something extraordinary -- a first-of-its-kind program launching in 2026.

This initiative will expand our vision by merging educational enrichment with supportive workforce development practices that prepare youth not just for education, but for life.

Gardening with JHPA
Past 2025

Gardening with JHPA

Tee’s House established a consistent school-based partnership with JHPA, delivering ongoing Agriculture and Arts enrichment through twice-weekly instructional support for Kindergarten through 2nd grade students.

Through this engagement, Tee’s House served more than 90 participants, providing structured, hands-on learning experiences that integrated gardening with creative expression. Each session focused on foundational skills such as planting, plant care, and nature-based art, allowing students to actively engage with the growing process while expressing their creativity in meaningful ways.

This level of consistent engagement created a familiar and supportive learning environment where students could build routines, stay engaged, and grow more comfortable participating over time. Younger learners began to show increased curiosity in the garden space, ask more questions, and take pride in their contributions. This partnership reflects Tee’s House’s ability to meet students where they are and create meaningful early learning experiences that are both accessible and memorable.

Past 2025

2025 Drama and Poetry Club Grades 3-5

Through the Drama and Poetry Club at JHPA, Tee’s House instructed and engaged over 60 students in grades 3–5, providing a structured space for participants to explore self-expression through culturally diverse poetry and performance.

Participants studied the works of influential poets such as Langston Hughes, Gwendolyn Brooks, Maya Angelou, Paul Laurence Dunbar, and Lucille Clifton, using their writings to explore themes of resilience, identity, and perseverance. Through guided practice, students analyzed poetry, developed original pieces, and prepared for group and individual performances.

Through this experience, students strengthened their ability to communicate with confidence, connect emotionally with their work, and present in front of others. The program created an environment where students were encouraged to use their voice with purpose, while gaining exposure to culturally significant literature that reflects diverse perspectives and lived experiences.

Ag & Arts Week
Past 2025

Ag & Arts Week

As part of the STEMM program developed by Unity in the Family, Tee’s House led Agriculture Week, delivering a structured, hands-on learning experience that intentionally connected environmental education with creative expression.

Over the course of the week, Tee’s House engaged more than 20 participants through sessions held Monday through Wednesday, with a minimum of five instructional hours per day. Programming was designed to provide consistent, immersive exposure to both agriculture and the arts, reinforcing learning through repetition and hands-on application.

Participants explored core concepts in plant science, including how soil, sunlight, and water contribute to plant growth, while also engaging in garden-based activities and art projects. Each session intentionally bridged practical agricultural knowledge with creativity, allowing students to translate what they learned into interactive, tangible outcomes.

As a result, participants walked away with practical skills they could apply beyond the program, including basic growing techniques and creative methods of expression rooted in nature. The extended instructional time allowed for deeper engagement, giving students the opportunity to build confidence, stay curious, and take ownership of their learning experience. This initiative highlights Tee’s House’s ability to create environments where learning is not just introduced, but reinforced through consistency, hands-on practice, and real-world connection.

Past 2025

From Garden to Smoothie - Nutrition Workshop

In Summer 2025, Tee’s House partnered with Global Learning Academy (GLA) through the Healthy Schools of Escambia initiative, supported by the United Way of West Florida, to deliver a hands-on nutrition workshop for rising 5th grade students participating in the Magic Within Camp.

During this session, Tee’s House led an interactive learning experience focused on the importance of nutrition, emphasizing how healthy choices can be both accessible and enjoyable. Students actively participated in preparing fresh smoothies while learning how homegrown ingredients contribute to overall wellness. The workshop connected foundational nutrition concepts to real-life application, reinforcing the value of making healthier choices using ingredients that can be grown and prepared at home.

Through this engagement, students not only gained practical knowledge around nutrition and wellness, but also built confidence in making informed food choices. This initiative reflects Tee’s House’s commitment to bridging agriculture, health education, and hands-on learning to support long-term community well-being.

STEAM Future Leaders of Northwest Florida
Past 2025

STEAM Future Leaders of Northwest Florida

Summer 2025 marked a defining milestone for Tee’s House through a strategic partnership with James B. Washington Education & Sports (JBWES), funded by the Escambia Children’s Trust (ECT). Through this initiative, Tee’s House operated as ECT’s first Sub-Awardee under JBWES, successfully designing and implementing the STEAM Future Leaders of Northwest Florida Cohort.

This five-week program engaged over 10 students in a structured, high-impact learning experience delivered Monday through Thursday, with a minimum of six instructional hours per day. The program was intentionally designed to integrate multiple disciplines through a collaborative model. Tee’s House led Science and Arts & Agriculture programming, while JBWES directed Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics components, creating a well-rounded and immersive STEAM environment.

Participants engaged in hands-on learning experiences including environmental science exploration, garden-based education, creative expression, and applied problem-solving. Through consistent engagement and extended learning hours, students developed critical thinking skills, strengthened teamwork and leadership abilities, and gained a deeper understanding of how STEAM concepts connect to sustainability, food systems, and real-world application.

This initiative not only delivered measurable educational impact, but also established Tee’s House as a trusted program implementation partner capable of executing structured, grant-funded programming at scale within the Northwest Florida community.

Together, we can plant the ideas that will nourish generations to come.
