Agriculture & Arts (A2) Program Officially Launches Through Partnership with Children's Home Society

A year of planning, collaboration, and preparation has reached an exciting milestone. This month, Tee's House officially launched its A2 partnership with Children's Home Society of Florida, bringing hands-on learning experiences to students through an engaging outdoor classroom environment.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting youth development through experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and environmental awareness.

Students participating in the program will engage in lessons that integrate:

• Agriculture
• Nutrition
• Environmental Science
• Creative Arts
• Literacy
• Wellness
• Mindfulness
• Seasonal Gardening

Unlike stand-alone workshops, the Agriculture & Arts program has been intentionally designed as a progressive learning experience.

Each lesson builds upon previous weeks, allowing students to observe seasonal garden changes while developing increasingly advanced skills and understanding.

Early lessons have introduced students to garden expectations, tool safety, plant identification, and the role gardens play within healthy communities.

Students are also beginning creative journals that encourage observation, drawing, writing, and personal reflection throughout the school year.

By documenting changes in both plants and themselves, participants are learning that growth often happens gradually and requires patience, consistency, and care.

Educators participating in the program have emphasized the value of experiential learning, where students are encouraged to explore concepts through direct interaction with the environment.

In addition to gardening activities, creative arts remain integrated throughout every lesson.

Painting, drawing, storytelling, journaling, and collaborative projects help reinforce scientific concepts while providing opportunities for individual expression.

The year-long partnership is expected to continue through May 2026 with regular instructional visits designed to create continuity rather than isolated educational experiences.

Looking Ahead

Students will soon begin exploring seasonal pollinators, composting, soil health, and the changing needs of gardens as fall progresses.
